This policy addresses personal privacy matters and in particular how Regal Port Douglas collects and handles personal information. References to ‘you’ or ‘your’ relate to natural persons as opposed to other entities such as companies, incorporated associations or trusts. Regal Port Douglas is committed to safeguarding the privacy of the personal information collected by us.

Personal information may be collected by us through a number of mediums including text, email, telephone, hard copy forms, through our website and social media apps such as Facebook Messenger. Such information will generally be provided directly by you:

by direct contact with us when you make an enquiry, booking or other request, using one or more of the mediums referred to above;

if you participate in a competition, survey or promotion conducted by us or by a tour operator.

• responding to your enquiries in relation to any of the tours or services offered by us or the operators of products and tours listed on our website;
• communicating with tour operators, booking agents, affiliates and you for the purpose of checking availability, confirming or changing bookings, and processing payments, refunds or charges;
• communicating with credit card providers or other payment gateways in relation to booking payments, charges or refunds;
• providing you with information that might be of interest to you including specials or promotions;
• managing our IT systems;
• statistical purposes, including providing aggregate statistics to tour operators, but such aggregate statistics will not include personally identifying information;
• complaints handling;
• as necessary to comply with our legal obligations;
• to a likely or actual buyer of our business (or part of our business) if such disclosure is reasonably necessary for the purposes of sale;
• COVID-19 tracing contact purposes.

We will only use your personal information for the primary purpose for which it is collected and any related purpose where you would reasonably expect that it would be used and/or disclosed without your further consent.
